Mischa onthe cover of Evening Standard which features a brand new photo shoot of her  and brand new interview with her. The photos are stunning and the editorial is probably one of the best reads for a Mischa fan that has ever come out.

The interview talks a lot about Mischa's charity work and her upcoming movies. The OC is also mentioned and I think now more than ever its become really clear that Mischa wasn't given a chance to have any say in the direction Marissa was headed. 

BTW, Mischa also briefly talks about her hair colour for those people wondering why she still has it this blonde.

Mischa Barton Promotes Ethical Water, Condoms

LONDON (Hollywood Today) 3/23/08 – Mischa Barton may have portrayed a spoiled California teenager on “The O.C.,” but the native Londoner is speaking out to her fellow countrymen in the United Kingdom, encouraging them to switch their bottled water brands in the interest of charity.

Coinciding with the U.N.-created World Day for Water, which fell on Saturday, Barton was named an ambassador for The One Foundation, which uses proceeds from its bottled water brand to provide clean drinking water to impoverished Africans. The company also produces a brand of condom, which it donates to anti-HIV organizations in Africa. Currently, the One brand of bottled water is only available for sale in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Mischa - St Trinian's

Mischa picks her way through the battered old school (15/03/2008)

Mischa picks her way through the battered old school building in Henley, southern England, that serves as the set for the return of the St Trinian's franchise.

This nostalgic realm of jolly hockey sticks and high school japery has been re-imagined for the 21st century by West London's Ealing Studios.

The film's directors, Barnaby Thompson and Oliver Parker, have been keen to bolster their project's star power with names like Rupert Everett, Colin Firth, Russell Brand, Stephen Fry and Girls Aloud.

Mischa, plays J.J. French, a former head girl from the school who has moved to the US and prospered in the media world, before returning to St Trinian's to help the girls in their bid to save the school.

"The idea is that J.J. went into PR and became very sassy and quite ruthless," she says.

"She gives the girls some advice, and it turns into a bit of a treatise on pop culture as she decides to teach them all the tricks of her business.

"I don't want to give too much away, but let's just say that it hones in on the superficiality of the business, and all the silliness. I was considering playing one of the main characters in the film. But it didn't work out and Barnaby wrote the cameo for me.

"I was originally talking to Barnaby about playing Annabelle, the lead girl, but then this is a very English film.

"My family's English. I have seen the films and I thought that they meant a lot to a lot of people, so it just seemed more appropriate to come in and do a cameo role rather than play an established British character that people really love."

She may speak with an American accent, but Barton was born in Britain to an Irish mother and English father. She has fond memories of growing up in London before moving to New York with her parents and two sisters, Hania and Zoe, when she was six years old.

Donning a St Trinian's uniform for a photo-shoot, she chuckles that it took her back to her childhood.

Spain - Closing The Ring (14/03/2008)

Mischa has arrived at the Barcelona promoting at the Spanish premiere of "Closing the Ring" which has opened in Spain today!

Last Thursday "Closing the Ring" opened in Australia. It screened nationally but only in limited release screening at 54 sites. The cumulative overall for its 4 day opening weekend stands at $95,586. CTR is on track to perform stronger in Australia than in its native United Kingdom as the film constanted with only $46,585 from 40 screens back in December. The cumulative total for CTR in the UK over its nine week release period stands at $296,867. Hopefully it has a blossoming run in Spain.

The film's next theatrical release is due June 12 in The Netherlands.

With a DVD release set for April 21 in the UK and July 2nd in Australia.
